A total of 12 cruise ships, with 40,000 travelers on board, arrived in the Dominican Republic the week before, according to the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur).

In Cap Cana arrived the Celebrity Equinox, the ships Oceania Sirena of the Oceania Cruises Company and the Jewel Of The Seas of Royal Caribbean, for a total of 8,504 tourists.
In Santo Domingo was received the Viking, with about 1,480 people in general.
