Travelers' Trends in Destination Choice for 2019

The Travel Predictions survey, conducted by Booking.com Dutch company, which analyzed more than 163 million comments and consulted 21,500 travelers from 29 countries, showed the trends of travelers in the choice of tourist destinations for 2019.

According to the research, travelers will greatly value when choosing a destination what it represents to promote personal development and 56% said that traveling has prepared them better for life.

These assertions suggest that in 2019 there will be an upsurge of individuals who want to learn something new, as well as an increase in vacations to train or work as a volunteer.

On the use of Information Technologies and Sciences, 80% of respondents showed greater interest in applications that can track luggage in real time, while 75% chose a single application for planning, booking and travel needs.

They are less interested in self-driving transport (63 %), but 49 % like the idea of a virtual travel agency at home, which is voice-activated and answers questions.

The survey also found that four out of 10 travelers in the world (40 %) recognize that they are attracted by the idea of going into space in the future and 38 % are open to trying out the experience first hand.
