After a decline in tourist arrivals in July and August, Spain recorded a year-on-year rise of 5.0 percent in October and amounted to 73.9 million foreign travelers in the first 10 months of 2018, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
The Survey of Tourist Movements in Frontiers (Frontur), counted in October the arrival of 7.6 million travelers.
Since September Spain began to show a recovery in visitors arrival, with relevant rates and from January to October the United Kingdom remains at the main issuing market, amounting to 16.7 million tourists, but with a decline of 2.2 percent, compared to 2017.

In the previous year, 81.9 million visitors arrived in Spain, making it the world's second-largest tourist destination, surpassed only by France and ahead of the United States.
