First stone of Moon Palace hotel was placed by Dominican president

The first stone of the hotel, Moon Palace Punta Cana, was placed by the president of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, in the province of La Altagracia.

This facility, which will be built at a cost of approximately 500 million dollars, will have two thousand rooms distributed in three buildings and should be ready in 2021, announced the Palace Resort group.

The president of the Mexican group, Jose Chapur, accompanied Medina in the laying of the stone that symbolically begins the construction.

t was known that this project was rejected by Dominican hoteliers, who claim that the construction of towers does not fit into this tourist destination characterized by a low density of facilities and low-rise buildings.

The National Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic and the Association of Hotels and Tourist Projects of the Area recently requested the Superior Administrative Court to declare null the resolution of the Tourism Ministry in which it introduces changes in the development model in that nation's pole.
