Pico Bonito National Park

Honduras’ most diverse park that rises 7,300 feet above sea level. Pico Bonito has turned out to be a symbol of La Ceiba that has played a major role in the region’s environment in recent years. Access to the park is restricted to a limited number of visitors. The main trail and chief attraction of the entire park is the Zacate River. This watercourse provides camping areas on both banks and the chance of watching tropical birds such as toucans and swallows, as such mammals as the white-face monkey. Some operators offer 2-day and 3-day tours throughout the park. There’s one small hotel in the park run by Omega Tours and featuring comfy rooms, horseback rides and birdwatchers' strolls and watchtowers.
