Biografía:
Alajuela, 1951 The formation of Roberto Lizano is as heterogeneous as his work. He got his degree in Civil Engineering in the University of Costa Rica, where he also studied sculpture, in the Fine Arts School. He has exhibited in the Latin American Hall of Tokyo, Japan. He exhibited drawings of cardboard boxes in the outdoor gardens of the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, in Die Kline Weltlaterne of Berlin and in other important international and national exhibitions. It`s important to highlight his work “Revision: A media carrera”, exhibited in the I Hall of the MADC, the III Biennal of Havana, the Second Biennal of Cuenca, Eco Art in the Museum of modern Art, in Rio de Janeiro. He is a member of the Bocaraca Group (of Costa Rican artists) and he has obtained important awards such as the National Prize “Aquileo Echeverria” and the Ancora Prize.
