Millonarios proyectos reforzarán el turismo en República Dominicana
Con una inversión de 467,5 millones de dólares se desarrollarán ocho proyectos turísticos que incrementarán en 2,212 habitaciones el fondo de alojamiento de República Dominicana.
El Consejo de Fomento Turístico (Confotur) aprobó ese plan de desarrollo de la industria del ocio, mientras otras cinco iniciativas, aún con clasificación provisional, con una inversión aproximada de 205,9 millones de dólares y 1.326 nuevas habitaciones, dio a conocer un comunicado del Ministerio de Turismo.
La millonaria inversión está destinada a proyectos hoteleros, inmobiliarios-turísticos, inmobiliarios-hoteleros y apartahoteles, que serán edificados en La Altagracia y El Seibo (este), Puerto Plata (norte), Samaná (noreste) y en la capital, Santo Domingo.
Confotur, una dependencia del Ministerio de Turismo, ha aprobado ya en este año 33 iniciativas turísticas, con una inversión estimada de 2.865 millones de dólares, que supondrán 14.669 nuevas habitaciones.
Serán construidas en las provincias de La Altagracia, Puerto Plata, Samaná, Santiago, San Cristóbal, Santo Domingo, El Seibo y Barahona.
La inversión procede de Panamá, Estados Unidos, España, Suiza, Holanda, Francia, Argentina y de la propia República Dominicana.
El Banco Central dio a conocer que el país caribeño recibió en los cinco primeros meses de 2019 un total de 2.988.155 pasajeros extranjeros y nacionales.

Igualmente entrarán en operación dos nuevas instalaciones en Cayo Guillermo y el primer hotel del polo turístico Cayo Cruz, que será operado por la cadena española H10, anunció el ministro de Turismo de Cuba y destacó que el plan de inversiones del año es de tres mil 046 millones en moneda total.
