Banda de Rio (River Band) plays Antigua’s traditional and ancient music. The Fife Player Band is usually made up of a fife (a small flute played on the diatonic scale and normally made of bamboo), a guiro (a percussion instrument made out of a dried gourd filled with beads), a boom pipe (bass), a homemade instrument called ukulele and an acoustic guitar.
