A highly valuable colonial village in Tegucigalpa settled in the mountainside of the Tigra Peak, San Jacinto was put on the map due to its mining sites of El Crucero, Nueva Rosario and Guacamaya, among others. Many tourists enjoy climbing the mines and be at the famous mine 11, where dregs and remains of the tools and equipment used by the miners in the past still lie there.
