Latin American travelers choose Barbados as a tourist destination

The alliance between Copa Airlines and Barbados Tourism Marketing

Inc. (BTMI), after its debut last July, allows a high level of

demand and growth in the region for both pleasure and business travelers from Latin American countries.

Starting from offer and demand, from next December 5 Copa

Airlines announced that it will change its weekly direct service from the city of Panama, currently carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays, to Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Corey Garrett, BTMI's director for the Caribbean and Latin America, announced that they are excited about the growth of Latin American travelers and named 2019 as the year of Welfare and Soft Adventure, and will continue to place Barbados as the preferred pleasure destination in the Caribbean.

That island has become a popular pleasure destination for the Latin American market and Copa Airlines has created even more connectivity not only from Panama, but also from Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and other priority markets in the region.

Known as the jewel of the Caribbean, Barbados offers authentic

Caribbean experiences in addition to hotels and exceptional infrastructure, excellent gastronomy and luxury offers.

One of the best ways to explore the island is with Island Safari tours, which take visitors to the most beautiful places in Barbados, or a catamaran ride where they can sail along the crystal clear waters and snorkel over shipwrecks with fish and turtles.
