St. George

The St. George Parish is located on the St. George Island -formerly known as Tortus Island and attached to Bermudas' main island. St. George's extension is just 703 acres and it became the first-ever colonized parish on the territory. It embraces the port of St. George. This parish starts off at the very end of the Hamilton Parish along a road that stretches out beyond Blue Hole Hill, right before the road leading to Bermudas' International Airport. This small town comprises in itself the history of Bermudas. The names of its streets take us back to the times of kings and maidens. Sightseeing places impossible to pass up are the name of the game about this city. The Bridge House, the Carriage Museum, the Deliverance, the Confederation Museum, the Featherbed Alley Printery, the St. Catherine Fort, the Old State House and its gorgeous beaches and parks are must-sees. With the splendor and coziness of its top-notch hotels, St. George is a great spot for shopping and food, plus a brisk town where visitors could wallow in a fun-packed nightlife ambience.
