Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Mustique

This small island belongs to the Grenadines and the population count is really low since many estates are owned by private citizens. Mustique is an ideal getaway that evokes a spiritual rest where coral reefs and crystal-clear waters team up for a unique and out-of-the-way natural spectacle full of precious floral sanctuaries and colorful wildlife reserves. Enjoying the soft afternoon breeze boggles the mind and spellbinds visitors with a natural ambiance. And while laying by the shadow of palm trees, you could easily make out the beauty of the crags. Cotton House is the only hotel with a beach named Macaroni, famous for the contrast of its waters and the surrounding greenish vegetable. The food at some of its restaurants and the chance of buying some keepsakes to take back home are two other options close at hand. Water sports are the best way to keep oneself in shape and take advantage of the island's natural conditions. In case you're not that much at nautical activities, then scouring the locations would do the trick for you. Snorkeling, windsurfing, water skiing and hobbie cats are also major activities. If sailing is the one thing you're fond of, the island's weather is great. Fogless conditions and trade winds teamed up with the sea's tidal waves make a perfect combination for boating buffs.

Tips

Although France and the Netherlands have shared the island since 1648, St Martin has also been occupied by Spain and Britain.
