The Bahamas

As other Caribbean islands, the Bahamas embraces a melting pot of cultures and civilizations: Spanish, French, British and African people that left their prints through the years. Today, there’s an effort to save national culture in the face of tourism -the island nation’s major income source- for tourists to find a rich cultural experience teeming with all kinds of attractions: theaters, shows, museums and so forth. Junkanoo, the Bahamas’ carnival celebration, is one of the most picture-perfect in the whole region.
